DIAL-A-RIDE CHARGES

Community transport provider Dial-A-Ride are introducing journey chages  for concerssioanry bus pass holders in April, we have learned.

We understand the move comes as a result of a decision by Cheshire East Council to withdraw Dial-A-Ride from the concessionary bus pass scheme and to reduce the grant to Dial-A-Ride by 30%.

These councillors, with  exception of the Labour group are the same ones who currently pay themselves well over the HMRC maximum mileage rate for use of their own cars on council business, forcing the council to pay even more in employers NI contributions.

How disgusting that they make those who are physically unable to use public transport pay for their journeys while they line their pockets.
