The NHS watch dog has published a damning report on the abuse and neglect of elderly patients by the NHS. The shocking report highlights some individual cases where if the same treatment was meted out to a dog there would be prosecutions.
But as usual there is no direct action taken against the managers responsible. Just the usual waffle about learning the lessons etc. and better training for nurses.
We urge everyone to write to their MP and DEMAND action. Even if you are a younger reader, remember you will also grow old and look to the NHS for dignity and respect as well as medical care.
