AGE CONCERN DAY CENTRES
Age Concern Cheshire have been forced into a humiliating U-turn on their plans to close their day centres across the county.
Following a vigorous campaign they were hauled before the Cheshire East scrutiny committee and told in no uncertain terms that such a move could not take place without full consultation and approval f the council. The day centres will now stay open until at least March 2011 while the Council considers what type of services should be offered to those older people who are not independently mobile.
