Jones/Versteeg
The centrepiece of this evening of song from baritone David Jones and pianist Robin Versteeg is Gabriel Faure's Cinq Melodies de Venise around which they have built a programme of songs that see composers drawing inspiration from lands other than their homeland. Haydn, Beethoven and Schubert's settings of Scottish texts and melodies will feature, along with composers such as Hugo Wolf, Johannes Brahms and Amy Beach.
