The Sponsors & the Support
Sponsorship & material/moral support have now played a big part in most forms of Sport for many years.
By the very nature of Motorsport, most participants rely heavily on outside Sponsorship as a means of raising the budgets required to put together a programme of events or contest a Championship.
As well as relying on Commercial Sponsorship, rally drivers also rely on a good service support crew to assist with car preparation pre-event, and to attend to the rally car at pre-determined 'service areas' on events.
Murdo relied heavily on outside Sponsorship, and he also had people around him who were extremely supportive of him.

Having relied heavily on outside Sponsorship, Murdo has always acknowledged the vital role Sponsors play, be it from personal backing, or in the backing of Rallies and other events.
Over the years, he always worked hard to give Sponsors exposure in any way he could. This would range from making his car and himself available to Sponsors for display at Corporate events, to arranging the display of his rally car at key public events & shows, to make best use of publicity opportunities for his Sponsors.
The spectacle & excitement of Rallying offers an ideal cost-effective and colourful Marketing platform on which Companies could promote their services and/or products.
With an association in the sport spanning over 30 years, Murdo would welcome approaches from Companies wishing to open discussion on Promotional packages through participation in the sport of Rallying.
