Inverness Highland Council Ward 13 - has a total POPULATION of 8,104 - and is situated on the West side of Inverness, extending beyond the canal to Balifeary and reaching out as far as Loch End via Dochgarroch).

Within the Ward we are fortunate to have some of the City's main Leisure & Recreational areas. Leisure/Sports Centre; Ice Rink; Queens Park Running Track; Kings (Torvean) Golf Course; Jacboite Cruises; Amatuer Football Pitches & Highland Rugby Club to name but a few.  The Caledonian Canal with it's walks and nature trails is also a vibrant place for boaters, walkers & cyclists.  

Ward 13 has 3 Community Councils :  Muirtown CC,  Inverness West CC (with whom we share immediate borders) and Ballifeary CC.

Muirtown CC currently have 6 Elected and 2 Co-opted members including Chairman, Secretary & Treasurer. Our members ALL live in the area & although "elected", we are UNPAID & give our time on a voluntary basis.
