new paintings?
Hullo Margaret,

I always enjoy looking at your paintings but I notice that there doesn't seem to be any of your most recent work in your Gallery. Are you doing anything different these days?

Dear Carol,
Fair comment. I am very bad at updating my website,I really should show paintings that are available for purchase on it rather than "old favourites" -a lot of which have been sold in the past. It needs a good spring clean.

Hi Margaret - was asking around for info on where I can buy the cards showing your art work and Tiana tells me that Tore gallery have them. Any stockists in Inverness?

Dear Sandra,
The main place I sell my cards is in the Floral Hall where I have a stand on the admission desk all to myself!
-mainly because I had 4 exhibitions in the cafe there over the years (and also because a lot of the cards are of floral subjects.)
Anyone I know who wants to buy a few cards can buy them direct fom me (cheaper because I don't need to pay commission on the sales) -so just let me know if you ever want any.

Isobel Fraser Home Inverness.
Hello Margret,
I am an enthusiastic collector of Contemporary Scottish art funds allowing, and I do scour charity shops etc in the off chance I may pick something up. I found on of your pictures in the Red Cross Shop in Elgin and was immediately attracted. It is of the Isobel Fraser Residential Home in Inverness, was this just a random subject matter or was it painted for a reason? I wonder if you remember anything about it, who knows how it ended up in a charity shop!? I do admire your style of painting and consider myself lucky to have found the picture. Regards, R Wilson.

Dear Richard,
Thank you for your kind comments. I love charity shops too. I painted the home a couple of times - one of the paintings was a present for the treasurer who was retiring . I am friendly with Janet Cameron who works part-time at the home . Do you know Janet?

Regards,
Margaret Cowie

p.s. Did you have a look at my website . I am quite proud of it as I am not very technologically adept but I set up the galleries and "hung" the pictures in them myself!

Painting
Hi Margaret,
Whilst visiting the Art & Book Festival in Nairn, tried to buy your 'Garlic ginger and chillis' but the organisers wouldn't let it go till the festival was over. However by a stroke of good fortune we popped in to the Village shop/tearoom in Cawdor where a number of your paintings are exhibited and delighted to say I am now the proud owner of 'The Turquoise Glass vase'. Dear Johanna,
Thank you for your message. I'm really glad you liked my paintings. Were you on holiday in the area? It sounds like it if you needed to take the garlic painting away from Nairn before the end of the Exhibition. Someone else bought that painting last week so I am doubly fortunate!

Regards,
Margaret Cowie
