Writing THE ALEPPO was a journey - or rather - an odyssey - for it took me forever to complete, beset by family illnesses, house buying, moving abroad and just creeping old age.
Umpteen rejections from agents and publishers followed until I approached THE LITERARY CONSULTANCY, who having read the manuscript, edited it and referred it to two main Literary Agents - Vivienne Shuster and Curtis Brown. “Interesting and well written” as they thought THE ALEPPO to be, it was, they felt unsuitable for them at that time.
Rejected again, I came across TROUBADOR PUBLISHING who read the manuscript and accepted it for self publishing. Jeremy Thompson, my publisher, was utterly professional and helpful throughout the publishing process, and I was delighted with the outcome.
