Who is Living Educational Theory Research for?
Living Educational Theory Research is for anyone who accepts the responsibilities of a professional practitioner. These responsibilities include continually researching your own practice in order to:
- Hold yourself accountable for the consequences of what you do;
- Enhance the educational, values-laden difference your practice makes; and
- Contribute the knowledge you generate to a global knowledge base of individuals, collectives, and humanity learning to live more humanely and ethically in the world.
If you want your research to be educational for everyone involved, including yourself and those who engage with your work, you may find like many, that developing your knowledge, understanding and practice of LETR offers deeply rewarding opportunities for continual professional development and lifelong learning.
Publishing Living Educational Theory Research
EJOLTs – the Educational Journal Of Living Theories is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal that has been publishing practitioner-researcher accounts since 2008. Contributors working in diverse cultural contexts and professional fields, are united by a shared commitment to understanding and improving practice through values-led research and helping others do so too.
When you submit an account of your LETR that meets the EJOLTs publishing criteria, you will engage in a collaborative, dialogic review process designed to strengthen your work and support your development as a professional practitioner and researcher. As a published author, you become part of a vibrant, global community of practice.
