Welcome to the Kintail Indoor Bowling Club.

The club was formed about 1989/90 by Berta Callander and Janet Fraser / MacLeod  and met in Kintail Village Hall .

The club then moved in September 1997 to it's present location at Inverinate and Loch Duich Community Centre .

We currently have around a dozen active members, meeting at 19.00 on Wednesday evenings  from September through to April.

Members range from beginners to Scottish Internationalists, some of whom have held a Scottish Short Mat Championship title.

Through out the season members compete for in-house competitions , these being The Jack Macrae Cup , The Hamish MacRae Memorial Shield and the Jocky O'Kane Memorial Cup ; as well as hosting the Cathie B Memorial Shield and the Arthur Smith Memorial Quaich which are  invitational events.

Currently we are members of the local Skye Lochalsh and Lochcarron Bowling Association and nationally , The Scottish Short Mat Bowling Federation.(SSMBF) The club have withdrawn there membership until a later date.

Club members regularly attend the  SSMBF Scottish Championships in Dumfries and invitational competitions in Stonehaven .
