Elevate - for young Christians
1) The first elevate event of 2015 is next Friday (6th Feb), it will be held in the King's Fellowship's building, which they are kindly letting us use again, the speaker will be Peter MacKenzie from the elevate team, who will be speaking on the theme of "don't waste your life!"
2) Ahead of that there will be a prayer meeting for an hour this Sunday at 4:30pm, again in the King's Fellowship building, if you are able to join us for that, it would be great to see you.

The challenge
To present the challenge of the Gospel relevantly to young people from across the Highlands.
Our goal
To challenge, inspire and encourage young people in the Highlands to take Christ and faith in Him seriously, to live explicitly for Him in the Church and in the world around them, and to live lives worthy of His calling.
Our part of the answer
Elevate is monthly event primarily targeted at young Christians at the top end of secondary school (S3-S6) living in the Highlands.
Why?
- To encourage young Christians in their walk with God
- To serve young Christians who are living in more isolated rural churches
- To bring Christians together across denominational and geographical borders
- To challenge young Christians to take Christ at His Word and live for Him without holding back
How?
- Worshiping God through song, word and prayer
- Bringing young people each month to get to know other Christians from around the North
- Challenging & Encouraging the young people with a biblical message
- Providing space for prayer
- Inspiring the youth as to what it means to follow Jesus
- Allowing youth leaders to meet each other and share ideas, be encouraged by each other etc.
- Providing a regular event at which it is more than OK to love Christ, believe in His Word and be changed by His Spirit.
Who?
Lead by a team of Christians from a range of churches (currently leadership team is from churches including Church of Scotland, Kings Fellowship, Free Church & Baptist)
Where?
The Kings Factory have kindly made their building available, so for the first year at least, the event will be held there. This is located in the Smithton Industrial Estate, Smithton, Inverness.
When?
The first Friday of every month, starting on the 5th September
What would we like from yourselves? Two things really!
1) We'd love for you to promote this event to the young people in your church community, whether they are youth in the church family, or young people associated with the church through midweek clubs or similar, we'd really like them to be aware that this event is happening, and that it is there to serve them
2) We'd love to know that you were praying for us, praying for the event and praying for the young people coming along.
