Blythswood Shoe Box appeal - update
The number of shoe boxes prepared is still on the increase, and currently stands at 62. Nicola is happy to continue monitor continuing donations and to store them in preparation for next year's appeal. Blythswood appreciate a donation towards the cost of fuel to deliver the shoe boxes and there will be a retiring collection at the Communion service.
To be able to help people who have next to nothing can give a feeling of doing something worthwhile for the unfortunates in this life. That is what Christianity is about.
The last 37 out of 59 shoeboxes delivered by Nicola being received at Blythswood. She plans to make up one more as 60 is a better number than 59! The equivalent of 2 shoe boxes of items for Blythswood to use when topping up and checking other shoeboxes have been handed over. Blythswood were thrilled to receive 5 crocheted baby blankets which are being sent out immediately. Well done to everybody involved.
