Show reports - Viktor

WELKS Ch. Show. Breed Judge: David Shields

1 Kiernan's Ch Sharnor High I'M Viktor At Kierlander. Very impressive, and like a good wine, just improves with age. Feel he has come together since I last judged him and was a pleasure to go over him on the day. Excellent head, low well set ears and the brightest of expressions. Good body shape with pleasing depth of chest and a correct topline and tailset. Strong muscular hindquarters, moderate angulation and precise sound movement with a typical action, CC.

Crufts Ch. Show. Breed Judge: Shirley Davies

2 Kiernan's Ch Sharnor High I'm Viktor At Kierlander. A very worthy Champion, unlucky to meet first on the day. He has represented the breed in groups etc, very well over his career. Sadly he is apparently being retired. Res DCC.

1. Kiernan's Ch. Sharnor High I'm Viktor At Kierlander. A verywell presented dog that makes the most of his time in the ring and has a definite presence. A lovely wedge shaped masculine head with dark eye and ears that lay flet to his cheeks, flat sloping shoulders, good front angulation, straight forelegs with sloping pasterns, flat ribs leading into deep brisket and onto a definite tuck up under the loin. Well constructed hindquaters which he put to good use on the move, good tail set and carriage. He was in good coat both in terms of pigmentation and quality. When in full flow he had a lovely slight roll and retained his topline whilst moving with drive. Pleased to award him the CC and later BIS

East of England (AVNSC)2017 Ch. Group Judge: Barry Day

I would like to thank the committee for giving me the opportunity to judge the Terrier Group for the first time, an appointment that seemed a long time coming!
As a group, the terriers are my main interest and I thoroughly enjoyed judging those sent forward from their breeds.

3. Third was the Bedlington, Ch Sharnor High I'm Viktor At Kierlander, pushing hard for second place. Lovely head and eye with good strength of foreface. Good depth of body with a correct topline which he held on the move, making a particularly balance and typey outline.

Windsor 2017 Ch. Show: Judge Ken Bartlett

Windsor2017 Ch. Show: Group Judge Ann Ingram

Kiernan’s Ch. Sharnor Hi I’m Viktor At Kierlander , Bedlington Terrier, how correct is this dog! Not the most eye catching on the terrier breeds but this dog must be one of the best Bedlingtons I have ever judged! He is so correct with his lovely head and expression, absolutely correct horse shoe front, really lovely coat texture, good depth of brisket and correct top line, he has the breed specific mincing movement keeping his lovely outline, presented in wonderful coat and condition.

Blackpool 2017 Ch. Show: Judge JRalph Garbutt (Airview)

OD, (7)

1st, Mr P Kiernan – Ch Sharnor High I’M Viktor at Kierlander

Dog of top quality correct size, head of good proportions with good bite & dark eye, correct bend of stifle very true coming & going with low set tail, plenty of depth to body & correct hare feet. When asked to move it was a picture nothing to bother this lad today in this class. DCC

Southern Counties 2017 Ch. Show: Judge Johan Juslin (Finland)

1 Kiernan's Ch Sharnor High I'm Viktor At Kierlander. A graceful dog with a wedge shaped head with a mild expression due to his correctly shaped eyes. Beautiful thin ears. Nice hare feet with strong pads. Very typical breed gait. Coat texture thick and linty well twisted.

Southern Counties 2017 Ch. Show: Group Judge, Patsy Hollings

G3 was Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, Bedlington, shapely with typical front assembly. I kept coming back to him today, where he just really appealed. Coat linty to the touch with good silky topknot. He moved with that spring & lift never putting his pad down wrong.

Bath 2017 Ch. Show: Judge Chris Harris

1 Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, fantastic showman, lovely head, narrow deep skull, dark small triangular eyes, fine ears, good length of neck, great front & rear angulation, held topline standing & on the move. Moved with purpose & drive. If I was being very, very picky I would like a tad more length of body & a little less coat! Well deserved BD & BOB.

WELKS 2017 Ch. Show: Judge Yvonne Greenland

Await report

National Terrier 2017 Ch. Show: Judge Craig Richardson

1 Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, narrow deep skull with ears fine & flat to the cheek, big strong white teeth with correct bite, lovely reach of neck leading to fine shoulders, front legs square set, good depth of rib, well proportioned body, a bit more coat than I like but all dog underneath, put down as always to perfection with not a hair out of place. CC;

LKA Ch. Show: Judge Viv Rainsbury

1. Kiernan's Ch Sharnor High I'm Viktor at Kierlander
Very glamorous dog, a real eye-catcher. Nice head with dark eye, sleepy expression. Good angulation front and rear, deep, flat ribs, but I'd like a little more length of loin. He seemed rather lethargic, and his handler's attempts to chivvy him resulted in him over-arching his back, spoiling his topline, although he presented a better outline when he relaxed. Won on movement over his litter brother, but a very close decision. Lost his sparkle in the challenge, but a worthy contender.

Midland Counties Ch. Show: Judge Stuart Plane

1 Ch Sharnor High Im Viktor at Kierlander, a lovely well constructed dog, good type & size, he has a long head, well placed ears with good leathers, his front is typical having well placed shoulders, deep flat ribs, good rise in the right place, well set tail, light & easy mover, presented to perfection to win CC & BOB (shortlisted in a very strong group)

Midland Counties Ch. Show: Group Judge Paul Wilkinson

1.Kiernan’s Ch. Sharnor High I’m Viktor At Kierlander. This 3 year old commands attention, beautifully presented, good lean head, small dark eye, nice reach of neck on to well placed shoulders, pleasing topline which he held on the move, coat of texture and colour, good sound mover. CC and BOB

Driffield Ch. Show: Judge Phillip Greenway

3rd in Open Dog.  Nothing to report!

Darlington Ch. Show: Judge Frank Kane

2 Ch Sharnor High I’m Victor at Kierlander, 3 years now, won his first group under me so obviously I like him a lot. Has beautiful head & eye & coat texture. Today looked over angulated & was disappointing on the move. RCC;

Scottish kennel Club Ch. Show: Judge Alan Vernal

2 Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, beautiful head & expression with sleepy expression. Thought him the class winner at first look;

Welsh kennel Club Ch. Show: Judge Dr. Hefin Jones

1 Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, he has just entered his third year & when I judged him last he was my BP. He has done me proud in the last two years with numerous group placings. What sets him out from the crowd is his ring presence. He just fits the bill for the breed & it would be redundant to mention all his good points. I had the impertinence to ask his handler to show him on a loose lead (I had done so with every exhibit). He did not disappoint & his movement was a pleasure to watch. CC & BOB;

Paington Ch. Show: Judge Max King

1. Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor I’m Viktor at Kierlander. I considered that this dog’s positive attributes more than made up for any minor shortcomings, really liked overall shape and balance, and prepared and presented in an excellent manner. Great ring presence and demanded attention. DCC and BOB.

Leeds Ch. Show: Judge Jane Graham

2nd Kiernans CH Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander. Different stamp of dog, not the length 1. Super head, eye and dentition. Coat of good colour and groomed to perfection. A worthy champion just preferred rear angulation of 1st.

Windsor Ch. Show: Judge Paul Eardley

I enjoyed the Bedlingtons & felt that overall the quality was good with some interesting decisions to make. When I looked at the catalogue afterwards I realised that there were four UK group winning dogs in the entry which is quite a feat for the breed I would think. Thank you to my stewards who did a very good job. I was delighted to see the BOB go on to win the terrier group & the BP to place PG2 which underlined my view that the entry contained some real quality.

1 Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, was certainly the dog on form today. Came in to the ring & caught my eye immediately. He possesses a super outline & lovely proportions. He was just lovely to go over on the table, masculine head, correct front, good feet, in great condition with decent muscletone & finished off with great presentation. Equally impressive on the move with correct action, holds his lovely outline & good tail carriage. CC & BOB & then went on to win the group. Well done;

Windsor Ch. Show: Group Judge Mr Andrew Westwood

First, I would like to thank the committee and officers of the Windsor championship dog show society for a most enjoyable day. This show is in one of the most wonderful settings.

I shortlisted the Dandie Dinmont, Kerry Blue, Manchester, Stafford, Bedlington, Irish, Welsh & WHWT.

After further consideration I selected for G1 Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, Bedlington, a top class exhibit who never put a foot wrong, excellent head with pleasing expression. Lovely outline at all times, good neck & shoulders with well placed front, deep brisket & correct topline & tuck up, muscular quarters & in the best of condition. Nice size & a pleasure to see his movement.

Blackpool Ch. Show: Judge Ronnie Irving

Await report

Blackpool Ch. Show: Group Judge Miss Jean Lanning

G2 the Bedlington, Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, a breed which has a characteristic movement & texture coat of its own, which makes it rather special. This one comes pretty close to the ideal Standard & I understand has already notched up a mass of ‘ big green cards.

MBTC Ch. Show. Judge: Mr Paul Wilkinson

1st Kiernan's Ch Sharnor High I'm Viktor At Kierlander

Quality dog, in excellent coat and condition, strong head, excellent underjaw, good neck and shoulder, well bodied, good topline and underline, well muscled quarters, good turn of stifle, hock well let down, moved soundly nice profile. Dog CC

Three Counties Ch.(No CC's)Show judge: Venessa Cox

1 Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, top quality dog who caught my eye straight away. He presents such an elegant picture, typical outline with slight rise over loin & correct height to length ratio. Presentation was first class with excellent coat texture. Comes into his own on the move, he covered the ground well with a springy light action & typical mincing gait. His handler certainly knows how to get the very best from him. Pleased to award him BD, BOB.

Southern Counties Ch. Show judge: Eileen Needham

2 Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, a dog I have met & greatly admired in the ring on previous occasions, a very attractive, typical, sound Bedlington in every way but, unfortunately, today he was not putting in that extra sparkle & style which is so necessary to take the top spot. RCC;

Bath Ch. Show judge: Mr Howard Ogden

1 Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, struck me as pretty much textbook & in his prime at 2½ years, flowing bodylines & curving in the right places, narrow, long, tapering head, good eye & thin ear set on low, long neck, good bone & pastern, well ribbed back, deep, well turned rear, linty coat, true, springy action, this exhibit gives nothing away in presentation & conditioning that enables him to represent the breed so well at group level. BD, BOB & G2;

Group Judge: Mr Richard Allen

G2 was the Bedlington, Ch Sharnor High I'm Viktor at Kierlander, a well known dog that was in immaculate condition. He carriers a lovely head & expression, correct front, excellent legs & feet & his movement was spot on. He was handled to advantage & put on a top performance.

Scottish Kennel Club Ch. Show 2016: Mr Albert Wight (Sharval)

1 CC, BOB & G2, Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, my group winner at the LKA & he was looking as good as ever today. Probably at the peak of his form he presents a stunning picture, flawless in presentation & his profile action is like that of a well honed athlete, seemingly effortless yet so purposeful. Delighted to see him go G2 to the big winning Soft Coated Wheaten under Colin Powell;

Group Judge: Mr Colin Powel (Bowtman)

2nd KIERNAN, CH Sharnor High I'm Viktor At Kierlander, D, Bedlington Terrier. An impressive looking dog, one you keep going back to, not an hair out of place and put down in immaculate condition, a credit to the owners, plenty of breed type and good angulations wherever viewed from, good neck and shoulders, ample bone and well padded feet, chest deep and muscular thighs, correct tail set, and in good coat, moved effortlessly around the ring covering the ground with ease, pushed real hard for top spot.

Birmingham National Ch. Show 2016: Mr Alan Small

1 Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, quality dog of good type & balance, lovely head of nice length with good eye & correct bite, nice neck to well laid shoulders, correct front & nice overall size & length with good quarters, nice moving dog that was well presented, in good coat, moved & handled well to CC & BOB, pleased to see him shortlisted in the group;

Crufts 2016: Mrs Pam Garbutt

3. Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, very good dog all in proportion, can see why he has won so much, I have to admit from the ringside I was not impressed but hands on is a different thing, I just preferred the movement of the other two today.

Manchester Ch. Show 2016: Mrs Brenda Banbury

1 Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, quality dog of very good type & overall conformation. Good dark eyes, ears well set, very good reach of neck & well laid shoulders. Good depth of body & rise over the loin. Thick coat in good order. BD & BOB & shortlisted in group.

Group Judge: Mr Max King

A sincere thank you and appreciation to the Committee and Officers of Manchester Dog Show Society for inviting me to judge the Terrier Group at their well run, efficient and friendly Show. The hospitality and atmosphere was first class and only matched by the quality of the Best of Breeds sent forward by the respective Breed Judges, the final short list exuded quality and breed type and it was a real pleasure going each one, I only wish I had more cards to distribute.

My final cut comprised nine breeds, as well as the four principal winners, I also shortlisted for further consideration, the Bedlington, Kierrnan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Vicktor at Kierlander, the Dandie Dinmont, Milton’s Ch Hawkesmill Jenny for Wilmit JW, the Wire Fox Terrier, De Munter , Utterwuk and Malzoni’s Ch Kingarthur Von Foliny Home, the Kerry Blue, Ramsay’s Torums Cairo Fred and the West Higland White, Burn’s Ch Burneze Geordie Girl.

Boston Ch. Show January 2016 (AVNSC): Venessa Cox

OD (2) Fabulous class. 1 Kiernan's Ch Sharnor High I'm Viktor at Kierlander.  Fabulous Bedlington, so typical of the breed, good size, not exaggerated in any way. Good front, long neck and well sloped shoulders, correct curve over loin. Super headpiece and small well-shaped eyes.  Presented in great coat and condition, typically linty texture. Moved well with light mincing action. BD, BOB. 2 Breeze's Ch Salena The Special One. A Skye terrier I have often admired, so typical of the breed, long and low with a large head and correct ear placement. Excellent shoulders and topline. A fabulous dog from any angle shown in super coat and condition. I had to split hairs, just wished I could have awarded both these wonderful dogs best dog! RBD.

LKA December. Ch. Show 2015: Shirley Davies (Honeymist)

1st. Mr P Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Victor at Kierlander. All the superlatives apply to this dog, wonderful outline which he kept on the move, masculine head, good angulation, good coat, excellent legs and feet, correct heart shaped front, handled and presented to perfection ..delighted to award him Dog CC and BOB and see him win the Terrier Group.

LKA December  2015: GroupJudge : Mr Albert Wight

This was a very strong group & to make it into my final 8 was an achievement in itself. Included in thThis was a very strong group & to make it into my final 8 was an achievement in itself. Included in that list were the Irish Terrier, Ch Lakeridge Cahal; Kerry Blue, Ch Kebulak Lady Killer; the lovely young Lakeland, Nujax Dizzie Rascal; & the ever attentive Norwich, Ch Ragus Hand In Glove, each of which added to the quality of the line-up.at list were the Irish Terrier, Ch Lakeridge Cahal; Kerry Blue, Ch Kebulak Lady Killer; the lovely young Lakeland, Nujax Dizzie Rascal; & the ever attentive Norwich, Ch Ragus Hand In Glove, each of which added to the quality of the line-up.

G4 was the SFT, Ch Glendrattera Suzi Kew, I have admired this charmer before & on the table she looks so stunning. Wonderful outline, short backed, so clean in shoulders with a gun barrel front in action, tailset bang on & she was in superb coat. I love her head & expression & have watched her play up on the move, but today she really looked the part & deservedly won this placing.

G3 was the Scottish Terrier, the young Ch Stuane King’s Sword, great to handle on the table, stunning head, foreface, the darkest of eyes, well set neck, big ribcage with heavily boned forelegs so short coupled & with well developed upper thighs. Immaculate in jacket presentation & he moved out soundly. One has to be hypercritical at this level & I felt he could just have had a shade more tip toe of expectation fire about him on the move.

G2 had to be the Border Terrier, Ch Brackenfall Bok To Bach, first time I have had the pleasure of judging him & it is easy to see why he has won so very much. A real class item, great headpiece, so well constructed, spotless in presentation & very sound out & back then even striding in profile. When push came to shove I felt that, like the Scottie, he could just have had that shade more animation, but his classiness is there for all to see.

G1 was a totally new face to me in the quite beautiful Bedlington, Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, I was smitten by him the moment he entered the ring. Incredible presentation, like a photograph that has been air brushed! His composure as he circled the ring with that so light springy action, holding his outline so well, the whole shape seeming to be comprised of complimentary curves. The result is refinement with power & his movement was almost magnetic – light, rhythmic & so breed typical. His head is a joy, a real pear shape, beautiful eyes & ears such a long neck which he uses so well to convey an almost aristocratic demeanour. Today was his day & I was delighted to have him as my winner.

Midland Counties 2015: Breed Judge: Mr Carlos Seavich

1. Kiernan’s Ch Shanor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, outstanding blue of excellent type & size. Excellent head, well set ears, dark eyes, excellent reach of neck, well laid shoulders. Excellent legs & feet, depth of body & ribs, excellent coat texture. Correct movement coming and going, excellent temperament. CC & BOB;

Bedlington Terrier Ass. Ch. Show 2015: Tony Waller

Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander trimmed to perfection, balanced head with deep set dark triangular eyes giving gentle expression, lengthy neck into neat sloping shoulders, good depth of ribs, good length of loin with a well defined tuck up, good bend of stifle, low hocks, held his top line on the move, expertly handled. DCC and BIS

Driffield Sept.  2015: Breed Judge : Mr Roger Crooks

Full of quality, correct size, good front, super head and ears, a strong neck and correct shoulders, enough rib, a flowing top line, strong in loin, good tail carriage, shown in super condition, put down to perfection, moved with real authority. BD and BOB. Was very pleased to see him win the Terrier Group.

Driffield Sept.  2015: GroupJudge : Mr Tom Johnston

My sincere thanks to the officers, committee & all involved for the opportunity to judge at this popular & well organised show. I had a very nice group of terriers to go over which were in good condition, coat & very well presented

G1 was Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, Bedlington, skull of good depth & not too broad, small bright eyes & good top knot, ears of correct shape, balanced body with straight legs & long feet with well closed pads. Has the correct topline with natural arch over loin & good tuck up, balanced & in a thick linty coat, moved with good action holding a graceful quality picture.

G2 was Ch Millsblu Living The Dream at Perrisblu, Kerry Blue, feminine & upstanding, balanced head of good length with well placed ears, dark eye, short coupled body, & well developed rear, good set of tail & presented in an excellent soft silky coat, free covering the ground holding a good outline.

G3 was Ch Brackenfell Bok To Bach, Border Terrier, lovely otter type head with well shaped ears, dark eye & lovely expression, good bone, feet & body shape, racy rear & well set tail, in excellent harsh coat, moved with good gait.

G4 was Ch Digelsa Declaration, Manchester Terrier, top quality head of good length, shape & with well set ears, neck fairly long & has a compact balanced body, quality bone & small well knuckled feet. A lovely example of this breed, presented in first class condition who moved soundly but did not have mind on the job at times or could have finished higher.

Darlington Sept. 2015: Breed Judge : Mrs Jill Peak

OD (1) 1 Kiernan Ch Sharnor High I'm Viktor At Kierlander. 2 yr old male, excellent breed type,  lovely head proportions, nice eye, ears well set, clean neck and shoulders, good legs and feet, good depth of chest, nice ribbing, good quarters and set on.  Moved well holding his shape.

SKC August 2015: Breed Judge : Mark Walshaw (Janmark)

1. KIERNAN Mr P. Ch Sharnor High I'm Viktor At Kierlander. A lot to like about this young man & one I gave best puppy to last time I judged the breed. He really excels in head & skull, narrow, deep, well filled under eye & close fitting lips. Eyes dark, small & bright. The best of ears, thin, velvety & filbert shaped. Graceful in neck, long & tapering, flowing nicely into well laid shoulders, which are clean. Forequartes straight & sloping pasterns, deep in chest, arched over a strong loin, good tailset. Lovely angulation at rear, with strong well let down hocks. Put down in excellent condition, muscular throughout. It goes without saying that the presentation was of the highest order, which finished of the picture. Movement in profile around the ring was light & springy, keeping his shape at all times. Movement coming & going was Ok, would prefer a little more drive from rear. It was a pleasure to award him the DCC & BOB. I was delighted to watch him put in a fault free performance in the main ring & take Terrier grp1 in strong competition & from such an esteemed judge. Well done!

SKC August 2015: Group Judge : Frank Kane

Group1:

Although a small group at this show, there was plenty of quality & I shortlisted eight: the Stafford, a feminine bitch & in hard condition & moving well, I would have liked just a little more chest; the Skye, has a lovely outline standing, on the day his topline was just losing a little firmness on the move; the Irish, in peak condition & coat but he was not really at his most spirited today, all quality dogs & the young Norfolk dog who chased the top four for a placing. He is compact & low to ground & can move with freedom & should have a very good future

In fourth spot was the Dandie Dinmont, Inzievar Gold Spark, a young mustard bitch of lovely quality & holding her shape well on the move.

For third place I chose the WHWT, Ch Brychdyn Diamond Geezer, lovely type with a superb coat & with excellent topline.

Runner up was the Scottish Terrier, Ch Stuane King’s Sword, who had won BOB under me the previous week so I think highly of him, low slung, a lovely size & full of breed type. Today he was on top form in the group ring & showed with spirit.

My winner on the day was the Bedlington, Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, who is very correct in breed type, shape & movement & did not put a foot wrong, going with the correct movement for the breed, maintaining his shape. In lovely coat for colour & texture.

Best in Show

It was a great honour to officiate at SKC as BIS judge and my thanks go to the officers and committee for making my appointment such an enjoyable one.

I had a lovely line up sent forward from my group judges which made my decision very difficult, but a decision had to be made which was between the two girls in the line up. I was splitting hairs and literally it was down to the way they looked at me on the last look. Both put in a splendid performance which combined correct movement and balance for their respective breeds.

BIS went to the Toy Poodle Isherwood & Evans' Ch Vanitonia As You Wish and Res BIS to the Greyhound  Engh,  Gjetnes & Oliver's Int Ch Swed Dan N Ch Jet's Moonlight Serenade. They were very closely followed by the Bedlington Terrier  dog who put on a great show coupled with his outline and correct front structure and movement.

WKC 2015: Breed Judge: Peter Bakewell

1. Kiernan, Ch. Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, a soundly made well-presented quality dog, good size, outline and overall balance, good head, eye and ears, good neck well placed shoulders, good forequarters, good ribs and well-made body, good hindquarters with low set hocks, good tuck up. Moved very well. C.C. and Best of Breed

WKC 2015: Group Judge: Geoff Corish

I shortlisted the Airedale, Bedlington, Border, WFT, Irish, Lakeland, Norfolk, Scottish, Skye & WHWT. A final move & several just didn’t give of their best.

G1 was Sonorra Christmas Cracker from Russtam, very smart Airedale, excels in head & expression, well placed ears, good reach of neck, short coupled & tail bang on top, moved so well & never gave up, presented in excellent coat.
G2 was Ch Cobstoneway Moon River at Clipstone, really nice Border bitch, true otter head which was well balanced, straight front, super shape, in excellent coat & pelt, full of quality.
G3 was Ch Lakeridge Cahal, well known Irish & as always in good coat & condition, good neck & shoulders, straight front standing but just didn’t move quite so well in front on the final run.
G4 was Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, smart Bedlington who I have often admired from the ringside & so good to go over, presented to the minute.

Bournemouth 2015: Breed Judge: Jacqui Hurley (Fralex)

Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor Hig I’m Victor at Kierlander, a true type for the breed throughout. Good head, eye, earset & bite. Strong male neck well laid down into properly angulated shoulders & front. Correct arch over loin flowing through to well angulated rear producing sound action on the move. CC & BOB

Bournemouth 2015: Group Judge: Roger Thomas

Perhaps not the strongest of groups, but along with my four group placings, I shortlisted the Border, Cairn, Dandie Dinmont, Kerry Blue & the Stafford.

G1 was Bocans Bolt to Bellevue, WHWT, thoroughly deserved this group on this performance & showed himself off to full effect. The overall picture is of a short, compact, well made male with an excellent topline & tailset complemented by a head of correct proportions, definite stop & strong in jaw & loin, well ribbed up & carrying a hard jacket. Moved freely both ways with plenty of drive from his strong hindquarters.

G2 was Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, Bedlington, have judged this lad before & he impresses with his head shape, so well carried, an excellent topline which does not flatten on the move & along with his deep chest & correct front, he sparkles when moving out with that typical breed gait & excellent profile.

G3 was Ch Silkcroft Colour Of Magic, SCWT, nice for size & shape, well made & carrying a coat of good texture & quantity. Balanced all through, compact & scored in head proportions with a strong muscular neck & well sprung ribs, moved out freely with good side gait.

G4 was Ch Blakens Pay Back,
Norfolk, certainly asked to be looked at, he scores in head & is strong in muzzle with good dentition, just enough neck & is compact with a level topline, strong short loin & good set on, moved out well with reach & drive.

The National Bedlington Terrier Club: David Taylor (Uptnorth)

OD (8,2a) 1 Kiernan’s Ch.Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander,not my style of presentation tended to make him look heavy but upon examination he isn’t,balanced  head eyes giving a deep set appearance and a soft expression,thin ears,correct forehand,shoulder flat and sloping good depth of rib body has a definite tuck up of underline,kept his topline on the move,handler told me that was his tenth CC. CC and RBIS

Leeds 2015: Judge, David Shields

2nd place in Open Dog. Kiernan’s Ch High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, one of the few I have judged before giving him a BP. Has definitely fulfilled his early promise & is now the finished article. Very typical appearance, good size with excellent strength throughout but shows no sign of coarseness. Good head & eye, long muscular neck set in well placed shoulders, firm body, moved well
