On Sat 21 June 2008 23 teams from all over England & Wales competed in the Provincial 7 a side tournament at Pairc na hEireann. After comfortably topping their group they went straight into the semi finals and despite a nervy display they came through by one point against Cardiff. In the final they played their neighbours St Brendans in a thrilling final. At the end of normal time the teams were tied on 1-1 each and so to extra time when a stunning goal clinched a dramatic victory by 2-2 to 1-2.
