Teaching

In addition to teaching in both primary and secondary schools, Jilly teaches privately, one-to-one at her home in High Wycombe, Bucks.

She provides tuition in:

    Saxophone – beginner to advanced – classical and jazz
    Violin – beginner to advanced - classical
    Piano – beginner to intermediate – classical

Jilly welcomes both adults and children from the age of 8 as students.  She has been DBS checked by the London Borough of Lambeth to work with children – proof available on request.

She has a friendly and encouraging approach designed to increase confidence and motivate.   She has been trained in Kodaly and Dalcroze methods at the Da Capo Foundation which involves using singing and movement to teach music and is particularly suited to young children.

 

She also holds a Certificate in Music Teaching to Adults (with Distinction) from Goldsmith’s College, University of London, so has an excellent understanding of the needs of  the adult learner.
