Project workshops

Supported by the “All Together” team, Yasus Afari undertook 14 workshops with classes and year groups at Ysgol Dyfryn Ogwen and Ysgol Pen y Bryn, both schools based in Bethesda. The responses from students and teachers were very positive and there was a great deal of interest in the Festival.

Additional workshops, including Jamaican Drumming and Dance, were put on during the Festival for young people and local poets were invited to participate in a Jamaican Eisteddfod held on the Saturday afternoon of the Festival.

Edutainment Promotion, the hosts of the Welsh delegation in Jamaica, organised a special workshop to showcase Welsh poetry and share Jamaican poetry. This was held on the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies in Kingston.
