Jake has been back ten days from his last trip to Cameroon, and is making the most of the snow before it disappears. He has done two ski-mountaineering trips, one to Taxeras and Chipeta Alta, and one up on the border with France at the Pierre-Saint-Martin.
I wasn't with him so can't describe his trips, but can vouch for him having returned home on both occasions in one piece which is a significant acheivement - and he took some great photos.
These are of his Taxeras/Chipeta trip. The fabulous toothy ridge is the Sierra de Alano:
And these were taken today, on the French border at Pierre Saint Martin/Piedra San Martin, the peak is Pic d'Anie:
