In memory of Glenda Dummer (1934-2013)

Glenda Dummer was a dedicated primary school teacher who taught children at Brynhyfryd Primary School, Briton Ferry in South Wales. where she laid the foundation in education for the many children that she taught.

Glenda had no children of her own and often said that "her children" were those in her class at school.

In her private life, Glenda had great satisfaction at looking at her bank balance and stock market investments, which resulted in a total of over two million pounds after her husband died.  It is fair to say that she looked after her pennies and turned them into pounds.

In her will, now in the public domain as all wills are after probate has been filed, Glenda left all her savings to charity, rather than give anything to her brother and sister and their five children, who incidentally, were not mentioned on the death notice:

This memory website names the charities that benefitted from Glenda's will and gives details of what they do with donations.

The sad thing is that the family heirlooms, including her mother's wedding and engagement rings, went to someone unknown.

Thanks to all those who looked after and cared for Glenda in the months before her sad death.
