Shepherd Society-25th Anniversary.

See below a letter from the Shepherd Society to Trustees.

June 16, 2021

Greetings from Bethlehem,

“I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,

I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,...

I was sick and you looked after me...”

I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one … of these … you did for me.”

 (Matthew 25: 35-36 + 40)

Dear Trustees,

We give thanks to God for the faithfulness shown to us in our ministry over the past 25 years since the Shepherd Society was founded through the faithful support of our friends around the world.

Recently we had very special times of celebrations for the Shepherd Society which we would like to share with you.

On June 11th a live stream meeting brought us together to share, pray and give thanks for the last 25 years of ministry to the Bethlehem community.

On July 9th we had a Gala lunch for our partner organizations locally. It was very simple and heartfelt. We honored one of our staff Muna Nour who has been serving with the Shepherd Society for the last 18 years.

Here is a picture of the meeting held for the leaders to prepare.

Additionally, Gaza is in our minds, prayers, and work. We are working intensively with the people in Gaza to bring hope to those who are suffering because of the recent war. In our next letter, we will focus on Gaza.

We conclude by encouraging you to continue to pray for Gaza and the people there.

The Shepherd Society, in partnership with the Community Training department, at the Bible College held a summer camp called “Baladi.” This means my homeland. We learnt about Gaza and studied five main things from the Bible: Loss, Fear, Safety, Justice, and Hope. 100 Muslim and Christian children participated in the camp including leaders.

Your prayers for the summer camp from Monday, July 19th,to July 30th were appreciated.Thankyou!

We commend our future into God’s hands, in the assurance that God’s blessing on our efforts will continue, to enable us to reach as many people as possible.

In peace,

Shepherd Society Team
