The countdown has started for the HIPPO Grand Final is taking place on Saturday 20th September 2008, Queens Park Track, Inverness, 10am first event The full Timetable has just been announced and is available to download along with entry forms from HERE Only pre-entries will be accepted - no entries will be allowed on the day of competition this is to ensure the smooth running of the day as we have a comprehensive program scheduled Athletes from all 10 HIPPO Clubs will be travelling into Inverness to compete in this years Grand Final. To celebrate the very successful first year of the 'HIPPO', they are holding an annual awards ceremony and celebratory disco in the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Inverness on the evening of the Grand Final. The celebration will take place starting at 6:30pm on the evening of the 20th September after the competition. A buffet will be followed by the HIPPO AGM and HIPPO Annual Awards Ceremony and the evening will be rounded off with a celebratory disco in the hotel. 10 trophies, donated by the Royal Mail Sports Foundation, will be awarded based on individual, team and club scoring results from the HIPPO Series, held throughout the summer in Stornoway, Orkney, Shetland and Inverness. This evening event is open to all athletes, coaches, officials, parents and families and is to celebrate the first year of the ‘HIPPO’ by everyone having a fantastic evening.
