The AGM is on the 9th October 800pm, We will be proposing a change to the points structure to the league.

The format will stay the same with 6 games of 501 (best of 3) and 3 games of doubles 1 leg of 701 double start.

The proposal to the points is as follows

2 points for the team that wins the singles overall for example 4-2

1 point each if you draw the singles 3-3

2 points for the team that wins the doubles

1 Bonus point for the team that gets 5 games and the overal win.

With this scoring system it will give teams something to play in the doubles even if you have lost the singles 5-1.

Possible points scenarios

1 point for drawing singles but losing doubles 3-0 and not getting 5 games

2 points for winning either singles or doubles only  and not getting the 5 games

3 points for winning singles by 5 games or more but losing the doubles

4 points for drawing the singles and winning the doubles 3-0

5 points for winning singles and doubles which will result in getting to 5 games

Please share and discuss this with your teams before the AGM as you will have your chance to voice your opinions on the matter. We will then put this to a vote to either stay as we are or to change to the new format.
