Heartland (Lauren Brooke)

Amy and her family run a rescue and rehabilitation centre for horses, where she helps, gentles and trains horses. But on top of Heartland, she has school and her boyfriend, Ty, to also worry about, and the rival schooling and showing stables, Green Briar. A really great read.   5*  £5.99

 

War Horse (the Movie + book, book by Michael Murpurgo)

Joey is a young and headstrong thoroughbred colt when he is bought by Alberts drunk father, and Alberts father paid over 30 gunies, but just to spite his landowner, and seems to have lumbered himself with a fancy thourughbred! Albert is determined to get Joey to work and pull the plough, and stay his master forever!
