Homecoming 2009

Golspie Heritage Society would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone celebrating Homecoming Scotland 2009.

Although Homecoming Scotland 2009 is intended to welcome everyone "home", we know that this is not always possible.  If you would like to share your thoughts with us about "coming home" we would love to hear from you.  You could include:

Who you Are;  When you Left;  What it would mean to "come home"

And of course anything else you would care to share!  For instance, did your ancestors come from Golspie - when did they leave, where did they go, do you still have connections to the area?  Just let us know using the Contact Us section.

This project is running in conjunction with a similar project on the Countysutherland web site.

Homecoming Scotland 2009: A celebratory
programme of events across Scotland from
25th January to 30th November 2009.
Spread the word and join our celebrations!

Homecoming Scotland 2009 celebrates the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns’ birth with a year-long programme of events across the country. We’re also celebrating some of Scotland’s great contributions to the world: golf, whisky, great minds and innovations and Scotland’s rich culture and heritage.

Homecoming Scotland is a Scottish Government initiative managed by EventScotland in partnership with VisitScotland

Scottish Government - Homecoming Scotland is funded by the Scottish Government's Energy, Enterprise and Tourism Division. We are also working closely with other areas of the Scottish Government, the devolved government for Scotland.

EventScotland - An organisation dedicated to the task of attracting, developing and supporting major events in Scotland, capitalising on the enormous potential of the Scottish tourism market.

VisitScotland - VisitScotland is Scotland's national tourism agency, charged with the mission of developing the Scottish economy through tourism. A place to go if you need help with any aspect of your stay, from booking accommodation, to making travel arrangements, to finding on what's on and when.
