Alison(Campbell)Redmond Posted by alison redmond (campbell) on 27 January 2010 Hello to all, tracing my family history I see that my g,g,grandfather Charles Horne lived and worked in Golspie for 8yrs.He was employed by J Mackenzie of Golspi Mills and was Captain of the schooner Lochnagar. He lived in the Sea Captains house in Littleferry with his wife Margaret and children-1861 Census. I believe that one of his sons married a local girl Elizabeth Mckay. It was nice to find this website about Golspie. Regards, Diane Posted by Diane on 01 January 2010 Great Site What a lovely site easy to navigate and lots of interesting information, good luck to you all. Posted by Davy Macdonald on 05 May 2009 congratulations An excellent site! The GH Society has come a long way in the past 9 years. What a great asset for preserving our village's history. I hope lots of folk from both home and away will take up membership and show their support. Posted by Geordie Jack on 04 May 2009 |
