Willow and Hazel Garden Structures

Learn to make structures for your garden out of locally grown Willow and Hazel. During this day you will learn how to make a plant climber ( Obelisk ) Plant Support, Trellis and Ornamental Hurdle.
You should be able to take home three to four items for your garden. There will be a charge for materials to tutor on the day.
Wear comfortable old clothes, bring your favourite secateurs, and I will bring all the materials and tools needed.

Needle felted Heart Decorations

We will be embellishing the hearts with flowers of your choice and learning techniques to make the petals 3D. The examples that I have made include roses, daffodils and hyacinths amongst others, but you are welcome to bring along pictures of your favourite flowers to recreate in needle felt. There will a charge for materials to tutor on the day.
Blend it Yourself natural skincare

During the day you will get hands on with ingredients learning how to select between different oils and butters and how to create products from spritzers to lotions, creams and balms. We’ll focus on ingredients that grow close to home so you’ll also get to know the herbs and flowers you can gather locally that are fantastic for skin. You will take home samples of lip balm, your own blend of cleansing oil and a pot of freshly made hand cream, plus lots of inspiration for more products to make yourself. No previous experience required. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin - if you’ve struggled to find the right skincare for you, this could be your answer. £10 for materials payable to the tutor.
Macramé– having fun with knots

Come along and make either a hanging basket or a decorative wall hanger..You will learn and practice the basic knots to get you going on your macramé journey. We will be adding rings and beads to enhance your projects and all of these will be available for you to use use. There will be a charge for materials to the tutor on the day.
Adventures in Watercolour

Spend the day exploring the ways you can enhance your watercolours and use different objects, liquids and techniques to add interest and texture.
Basic knowledge of watercolours would be helpful . Bring your own watercolours and paper if you have some. If not there will be materials available on the day. We will produce a collection of small works which will provide a useful catalogue from which you can fire your imagination for future work
Creative Stencilling Workshop

If you love pattern, this is the workshop for you. We will explore different techniques, using pastes and gels and applying colour with brush, knife or sponge. We will investigate colour combinations, metallics, textures and surfaces to create different effects. Although we will use pre-cut stencils, we’ll overlay and enhance so you’ll have plenty of opportunity for individual creative expression. This workshop is suitable for beginners, as well as more experienced painters. Some materials need to be brought in , others provided at cost from tutor.
