 Trees using Watercolours—Irene Brain SORRY COURSE FULLY BOOKED, HAVE A LOOK AT THE OTHERS.

All levels of experience welcome, especially no experience at all. I will open your eyes to the beautiful medium of water colour painting. you will create a painting with using different techniques e.g. wet into wet, dry brush work, even cling film techniques, whilst having fun.  The silver birch painting can be created  in any season, and can include rabbits, people, flowers etc. There will be a charge for materials.


Willow and Hazel Garden Structures—Helen Lomberg

 

 

Learn to make structures for your garden out of locally grown Willow and Hazel.During this day you will learn how to make a plant climber ( Obelisk, PlantSupport, Trellis and Ornamental Hurdle.

You should be able to take home three to four items for your garden.Wear comfortable old clothes, bring your favourite secateurs, and I will bring all the materials and tools needed.  

There will a charge for materials

 

 

 


Silk Painting- Paint your own spring inspired scarf—Jackie Cox

    

Learn the ancient art of painting on silk using the resist technique. We will use an outliner to draw a design inspired by the spring season and then colour it using the gorgeously luminous colours of specialist silk paints. After ironing the scarf will be your own fully wearable and washable work of art! Beginners and experienced all welcome, please bring a hairdryer if possible.

If you have any references for ideas please bring them along although there will be plenty of inspirational material available. All materials provided at a cost of £5.


Needle felted Heart Decorations—Jackie Ginley

Create your own needle felted heart decorations using polystyrene formers and a variety of wools.  We will be embellishing the hearts with flowers of your choice and learning techniques to make the petals 3D.  The examples that I have made include roses, daffodils and hyacinths amongst others, but you are welcome to bring along pictures of your favourite flowers to recreate in needle felt. There will a charge for materials.

 


Exploring Acrylic Transfers -    Jackie Garner

In this workshop we will discover two methods for using acrylic gel to transfer a printed image (originally a drawing or photograph) to a background. During the day we will create an underwater scene and use further acrylic techniques to develop and enhance the painting. Some materials will be provided, for which there will be a small extra charge.


An introductory course into the world of Blend it Yourself natural skincare—Laura Pardoe

During the day you will get hands on with ingredients learning how to select between different oils and butters and how to create products from spritzers to lotions, creams and balms. We’ll focus on ingredients that grow close to home so you’ll also get to know the herbs and flowers you can gather locally that are fantastic for skin.  You will take home samples of lip balm, your own blend of cleansing oil and a pot of freshly made hand cream, plus lots of inspiration for more products to make yourself. No previous experience required. 

Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin - if you’ve struggled to find the right skincare for you, this could be your answer.  £10 for materials payable to the tutor.
