The organisation is carried out by volunteers, who do it to give others the chance of enjoying arts and crafts. All courses are taught by experienced tutors, artists in their own right. Decorating Objects with Acrylic Paints

– Kate Smith    Sorry, but this course has had to be cancelled.

This course will explore using acrylic paints in some more decorative ways. Acrylic paints are durable and can be used on practically any surface with the correct priming.  The painting can be detailed, abstract or patterned – whatever you choose. You are invited to bring in any object that you would like to decorate – from wooden boxes, plastic or terracotta flowerpots, large stones – even welly boots!  I have always painted my house sign on a chunk of timber.  I will supply primer spray, sealant and sandpaper for a small extra charge and will have a small selection of objects for sale if you don’t bring something from home.
