1. I attended Summer School for the first time this year, taking the Pastels class which was over 5 days. I had an amazing time! The course tutor, Jackie Cox, was an excellent teacher, with a blend of encouragement,gentle critique,and clear teaching of the subject. While being encouraged to try new and different techniques, we could also choose our own projects if we preferred. The small group soon bonded, and we produced some good work, while having great fun. I wholeheartedly recommend it!! L

I really enjoyed this years summer school. I found Jackie Cox quite inspirational. Very helpful and encouraging to all the students.

3. I tried Figurative Sculpture this time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Val was an amazing Tutor, helping all of us, whilst keeping us motivated with her lively personality. I thought initially that we would be carving our hands out of clay, but we started with a metal skeleton, the same size as our hand and added clay to it. The result is a perfect replica of my left hand. A piece of work I am very proud of. Many thanks. I would recommend this course wholeheartedly to future students. G

re a review for the sculpture course I would say;
A very rewarding ,creative and enjoyable two days ,I cant really believe that at the end of it I had made a hand in clay to take home that looked realistic and could be displayed having never done any work in clay before. The teacher was excellent ,kind ,gentle and sympathetic ,we also had a good laugh with the group I can highly recommend it what ever level of art you are at !. N
