  The objectives of the Code of Conduct are:

To uphold the good name of the Glenburn Table Tennis Club, the Irish Table Tennis Association and of the sport of Table Tennis

To resolve any issue relating to the conduct of any of its members in their relations with each other, officials or with the public.

 

CODE OF CONDUCT 

 The following activities/behaviour are expected of Players, Officials, or Parents whether in playing, advisory or supervisory roles 

1. Must wear appropriate Table Tennis clothing (No attire, which could be conceived as offensive will be permitted).

 2. Must not verbally, visually or physically abuse his/her partner/opponent, the umpire, officials or spectators.

 3. Must not use offensive language.

 4. Must not physically abuse his/her racquet, the ball, the table, surrounds or any other equipment while training or playing tournaments.

 5. Must endeavour to come regularly and set a good example of commitment to training.

 6. Must not bring the good name of the Glenburn Table Tennis Club into disrepute by any unreasonable behaviour.

 7. Must comply at all times with Photo &Video Permission Rules 2005-2006

 8. Must at all times comply with the rules and the spirit of the game as applied by the Irish Table Tennis Association Limited and approved by the ITTF.

 

SCOPE

The Code of Conduct will apply in all club training and events run under the auspices of the Irish Table Tennis Association Limited, and to its members and all persons under its jurisdiction.

PROCEDURES

All offences against the Code of Conduct will be dealt with by the club Disciplinary Committee and may lead to disciplinary sanctions.

Any serious breaches of the code may lead to suspension or expulsion from the club.
