Ackie MacNiven, former Glasgow Mid Argyll and Kyles Athletic player, passed away peacefully last week.

He started his senior career with Glasgow Mid Argyll where he won his first Glasgow Celtic Society Cup Winners Medal.  He then continued his career with Kyles Athletic, his home club, where he won winners medals in all competitions.

He was a brother of Donnie, a former joint International Manager and GMA Honourary Life President, and Kenny, a former Scotland Captain.

Ackie’s funeral took place on Thursday 31st March, at 12.45pm at St Margaret’s Parish Church, Dalry.
