Cosmos Holidays are asking those celebrating special birthdays this year to speak out and celebrate in style whilst on Holiday.

However, Marmaris based rep Gaynor Griffin, wishes to publicly wish her father a Special Birthday on 2^nd September. Gaynor the journalist, type setter and editor of this paper says she owes all her creative talents to her father Mr Cled Griffin.

Director of Star Leisure Promotions, Cled, in conjunction with Pontin’s Holidays, introduced the first Electronic Organ / Keyboard festivals in 1980. Gaynor claims this was her introduction to Tourism. She remembers clearly, way back in 1980, running around the campus at Barton Hall Torquay, showing all the guests to their rooms: “The Chalet Hotel was a maze of corridors as there were many extensions built onto the original mansion house. It was like a rabbit warren, and was quite eerie at night especially as there was the tale of the Ghost of Barton Hall! Even now my family reminisce and laugh about how we felt back then. It was good old fashioned full board with waiter service with pre dinner drinks in the Regency Cocktail Bar! It was simply magical. So Dad I owe it all to you. Happy Birthday!”
