Ceanothus Latin name: Ceanothus thyriflorus var repens. Common name: Californian Lilac RHS Award of Garden Merit This is an evergreen spreading shrub producing pale blue flowers in late spring and early summer. Its mature height reached after ten years is about 1.5m and spreads up to 4m if allowed.
