EXAMPLES
On the Instruction Sheet we ask that you split the length of embroidery thread (6 strands) provided into two lengths.Each length will be made up of 3 strands. If you wish you may embroider the name using 3 strands, alternatively you can split the thread again and use just two.
These are just guidelines! We never cease to be amazed by the creativity and beauty of the squares returned to us for inclusion in the First World War Centenary Quilt, each square special in its own right.
If for whatever reason you feel you do not have the skill or ability to stitch a square but would like to take part in the project we have a team of volunteers who will be happy to stitch a square on your behalf. Please email Philippa at ww1centenaryquilt@btinternet.com for further details.
