Where is (Hatton of) Fintray ?

On the river Don 12 miles north west of Aberdeen from the city centre.

Coming from Aberdeen: Take the main A96 Aberdeen – Inverness road past the airport roundabout to Blackburn, exit at first roundabout into Blackburn village and take the right junction (at playing field) B979 to Fintray approx 3 miles.

Coming from the west Inverness direction, take the A96 past Inverurie and Kintore. Exit at first roundabout into Blackburn village and take the left junction (at playing field) B979 to Fintray approx 3 miles.

For those of you traveling from the north east coast, Ellon direction. The easiest way is to take the Belhelvie road from Balmedie right over past Parkhill and down to the old railway line ½ mile out of Dyce. Turn right for Newmacher/Oldmeldrum under the bridge and immediately left up the riverside on the B977 to Fintray for 4 miles.
