Maria is an advanced studies graduate of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. She has been a resident member of the Findhorn Foundation Community since 1989 and has a private healing practice. She provides supervision for practising therapists and facilitates courses, workshops and group therapy in healing and transformational education.

Advanced Training for those in Healing Professions A 6-module training Module 1 and 2: 1-14 September 2012 Module 3: 24-30 November 2012 Module 4: 9-15 February 2013 Module 5: 13-20 April 2013 Module 6: 8 -15 June 2013 With Maria Olsthoorn and Susan Miles The training consists of six weeks, spread out over the year, with a two-week beginning in September 2012 and a completion week in June of the following year. The training provides a learning room to deepen your own healing process, expand on your skill-base, and your ability to work with others. Our in-depth exploration and experientials are based on a substantial map of our energy field, the Character Styles of Johnson, as well as group work and therapy, with aspects borrowed from Core Energetics, Body Mind Psychotherapy, Gestalt, and Pathwork. We draw from a wealth of wisdom in energy medicine (the consciousness of the chakras), energy therapy and eastern philosophies married with the invaluable spiritual and educational wisdom held within the energy field of the Findhorn Foundation Community.
