2.10 pm ‘Mourning Cresseid – Henryson’s Testament’
Elizabeth Elliott will explore the ending Henryson’s poem offers Cresseid, its cultural resonance, and what it might mean to mourn Cresseid.
2.50 pm ‘The Public Memoirs and Confessions of a Justified Poet’
William Hershaw will read a few of his poems and explain their background but also offer a few thoughts about some of the wider issues which have influenced his thinking – place, politics, education and cultural background.
3.30 pm Comfort break with refreshments

3.40 pm ‘The Constructed Space, Theatre as a place of Debate in Contemporary Scotland’
David Greig will discuss his work in the context of contemporary Scottish theatre.
4.20 pm ‘Peacocks and Squirrels: Fife, Folklore and Fable in my Poetry and Fiction’
Tom Hubbard draws on a rich folk tradition of the Kingdom, and there's more than a nod towards his revered Henryson in his use of fable in a number of poems. He'll perform pieces or short extracts from his various works.

7.00 pm Concert of music by James Oswald and his Italian baroque contemporaries - Andrew Woolley and Emma Lloyd
A programme of eighteenth-century music for violin and harpsichord by Mancini, Scarlatti, Munro, Barsanti, McGibbon, Geminiani and Oswald.
(including a 20-minute interval)
