Friends of Bramblefields Chair-person- Lisa McIntyre- met with other Friends Groups Chairs to participate in discussion and research commissioned by Cambridge City Council to investigate ways of strengthening the relationship between the Council and Friends groups.  The group explored the roles and responsibilities of the Council and Friends groups; and shared ideas on encouraging community involvement - including tidy-up days, conservation, learning events, and fun events.   The discussion also explored Friends Groups role in lobbying for protection of green spaces, being a ‘pair of eyes and ears’ for the City, reporting on anti-social behaviour, littering and vandalism.
