Bramblefields

FENRA Members and local residents have recently recieved a letter from the city Council regarding the problem of fly-tipping in Bramblefields.

This communication was in direct response to all the residents who had taken the time to report dumped rubbish to the City enforcement office streetenforcement@cambridge.gov.uk  and the local nature reserve officer (Vic Smith).  Well done everyone, please do keep up the good work.

Could I appeal to all dog owners to clean up after their animals please - it is not just litter that causes problems in Bramblefields.  There's an interesting article about the effect of dog poo in nature attached below and an article in the BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-22853270 .

On another note, FENRA is planning a Bramblefields clean up in the Summer - please let us know if you would be happy to join in.  We can arrange the date when we have sufficient interest.  The LNRO is happy to help us with the coordination.

Regular visitors to Bramblefields would have noticed a log circle in the copse.  This is the work of the LNRO for a forest school project with children of Shirley School reception class every Tuesday morning.
