FENRA Committee and Members and residents from our local area attended a workshop convened by Cllr Ian Manning to discuss possible parking issues that might arise when the Station is built and possible solutions. Worst case scenarios were discussed and best case resolutions were proposed by all who attended. Solutions such as: time-specific parking restrictions, free resident's parking, free station parking, clear parking restriction signage to deter fly-parking, traffic control measures and one-way systems were just a few of the ideas offered. Cllr Gerri Bird and Clare Blair also took part as residents. The evening highlighted the passion and interest of residents in securing a good quality of life in East Chesterton that the Station should complement and not detract from.
