Here, at Fenland Recorders, we produce contrabass and bass recorders
All our instruments are individually hand crafted in the peaceful Lincolnshire Fens.
These instruments are of square tapered cross section in three parts, and feature keys, mouthpiece and slotted fixing plates, made from solid beech, quality long lasting neoprene seals and solid brass key stops
The tone produced is warm and even across the entire chromatic two octave range, and the key action is light and responsive, making these instruments a real pleasure to play.
The length of the contrabass is approximately 60" (152cm) when assembled.
Pitch range, F one octave below middle C, to F above middle C
The length of the bass is approximately 31" (79cm) when assembled.
Pitch range, F below middle C, to F one octave above middle C.
The standard colour is Wedgewood Blue in a satin, hardwearing finish, and each recorder comes with a colour matched hard case, featuring leather handle, lockable catches and non slip feet to bottom and rear of case.
Most other colours can be provided upon request, for a small additional cost.
