The Quarrymans were in unbeatable form on finals night powering to imoressive wins in two tough looking matches to take the team knockout championship.

In their semi final against current league champions Nursery A, Quarrymans got off to a blistering start in the 3s and pairs which left them going into the singles with a 4 - 1 advantage with all six players on form.

Kevin Mathias brought temporary relief with a fine singles win but it was short lived as Stevie Murray took the vital 6th point in a fine display to send the Quarrymans through to the final.

The second semi-final saw the Corporation and Holly Hill go toe to toe in the 3s and pairs with the Corpy going into the singles with a 3 - 2 advantage.

When the Corporation took the opening two singles for a 5 - 2 lead it looked all over but the Holly Hill fought back with the next three singles to level leaving Paul Wade and Albert Lees to contest the deciding leg. A tight game saw Albert come out on top to book the Corporations place in the final.

In the Final the Quarrymans once again blasted to a 4 - 1 advantage in the 3s and pairs leaving just two singles legs needed to take the KO.

Karl Hanratty brought the Corpy some much needed relief against Colin Ross in a high scoring game to claw the score back to 2 - 4 but Barry McAtominey put in a blistering 16 dart leg to take the Quarrymans one away from victory.

Alan Kennedy took out George Cuthebertson in another high scoring match to give the Corpy hope but their chances were extinguished by Steve Murray who saw off the threat of Albert Lees to give the Quarrymans a fine vistory.
