With the Corporation having a free week the Quarrymans were the visitors to Holly Hill as they looked to take over at the top of the table. Doubles were the key as the visitors let slip some of the early legs before taking hold of the match in the singles to win by the odd leg 6-5. Colin Ross was in blistering form all night and he blasted to a 16 dart leg in his singles with four three figure scores. Colin Rowntree almost equalled the feat missing the vital double with his 16th dart and having to settle for an 18 dart leg.

Nursery House A blasted back to top form with a tremendous home victory against Malting House B running out 10-1 winners to give notice that they will not give up their crown without a fight.

Their compatriots Nursery B continued their impressive form this season with a fine 8-3 win at High Fell B to jump into the top four. Its to be hoped that Rob Lewins and co are not afraid of heights and can keep their strong start going.

High Fell A continued their unbeaten run with an 8-3 win away at Malting House A. The win moves them up to second in the table and establishes the team as genuine championship contenders this season.
