Want to use a computer but don't know where to start?
You can book a 1-2-1 taster session at Newcastle Libraries: a member of staff will sit down with you and go through everything step by step at a pace to suit you.

There's something for everyone from the very beginning of how to use a mouse and keyboard.
Computers are available Monday-Friday 10am-5pm and the staff and volunteers can give you one-to-one help to get started. And best of all, all courses are completely free!
Drop in on a Friday or make an appointment for other days of the week.

BBC Webwise provides beginners guides to using computers, getting online and keeping in touch as well as articles on subjects from online banking to safety and copyright. Also includes activities, video guides and printable pages to help you get started and feel more confident.
Digital Unite has a series of printable guides aimed at helping older people use computers
and get online.
