Terms and conditions of service.
All clients are requested to complete and sign a detailed client record card in compliance with the Animal Welfare Act. This helps me to provide a tailored service to you and your dog. It is your responsibility to notify me of any changes to your dogs details. Data is confidential and will not be passed onto any 3rd party.
Whilst your pet is in my care its health and safety is my primary concern. Although extremely unlikely, accidents can occur during the grooming process and in the event of an emergency i will seek emergency veterinary treatment. I will endeavor to contact you prior to treatment.
After each grooming session i will provide detailed feedback. If you have any queries or need further advice i will be happy to do this. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your dogs groom please let me know before leaving the salon. Reasonable requests to alter the trim will be dealt with immediately or changes noted for future grooms.
Your dog may be photographed before during and after its groom. These images may be used on Sharon's Groom Room website. facebook page and other online sites.
All grooming costs are payable in full on collection of your dog. Please refer to Price list for more details.
Please be punctual, i work by appointment only, Most sessions last between 1.5 - 3.0 hours. An agreed time of collection will be given before your dog is left. Please telephone me if you are running late, i understand that this happens from time to time. HOWEVER, collection after 30 mins after the agreed time will incur fees of £5.00 for the first 30 mins then £5.00 for every 15 mins after.
Cancellations must be made more than 24 hours before your appointment. Failure to do so will incur a fee.
Missed appointments will incur a fee, payable at the next appointment. You may be required to pre pay any future appointments.
Neglected and matted coats, in compliance with the Animal Welfare Act will be clipped short to release the dog from its coat. Sharon's Groom Room dog grooming, its owner and operator will not be liable for any post grooming effects of this procedure which is not without risk. You will be given a cost before leaving your dog, a clip down requires more skill, time, product and wear and tear on tools and equipment than a routine groom.
If a dog is found to have fleas, this will incur an additional cost, due to the time and labour to disinfect the room and tools before another groom can take place.
I reserve the right to refuse to groom any dog at risk of harming me or itself. Any aggression shown during the groom will result in termination of the session. You will be contacted to collect your dog. The full grooming charge will be levied.
You must inform me if your dog has ever bitten or displayed aggression. Failure to disclose this information may result in refusal of further services. Your attention is drawn to the dangerous dogs act, which holds owners liable for bites and injuries caused by their dogs.
