On Thursday 13th May 2010, the Dingwall Academy U13 boy’s football team completed a memorable league and cup double by defeating Charleston Academy in the Macleod and Maccallum solicitor’s highland schools league cup final.
The game was played at Inverness Royal Academy with two goals from Jack Mackay and Russell Dingwall securing an impressive 4-1 victory in what was a very closely competed cup final.
Furthermore, the team recently secured the U13 Highland League with an impressive nine victories and only two defeats over the course of the season. The boys also reached the semi final of the North Of Scotland cup only to be defeated by a very good Fraserburgh team.
Dingwall Academy P.E teacher and U13 football coach Muir Morton added: “All the boys have acquitted themselves really well over the past year and have been a credit to Dingwall Academy. They have all worked really hard and remained committed to playing the game in the right spirit. It has been a pleasure to coach and watch the team play some very exciting, attacking football this year.”
