Summer Day@The Park 2010.

On September 4th 2010, Alexandra Park was transformed into a huge playground for adults and children.

With an official opening from the Mayor of Hastings and with food, music, play areas, fun fair, games (including "Throw a wet sponge at a politician!!), Fancy Hat competition, pony rides, music workshops and free entry, there was something for everyone.

The Enchanted Lark ran free singing and music sessions for children all day.We had to seek them out in their enchanted grotto..........

In2play provided play sessions through the day, including sports sessions and sumo suits!

There were Punch and Judy, Bob Butler, Hastings Hoopla and a face painting stand.

We ran a FANCY HAT  contest! Active Hastings ran a free craft workshop during the day, for kids to make their hats.

There was a free paper boat making craft session, making boats to float on the boating lake.

We had fairground rides - the bouncy slide, a bouncy castle, candy floss, teacups, punch balloons, lucky dip, mini helter skelter and hook a turtle!!
