ARTIST RESIDENCIES

SELF-FUNDED RESIDENCIES IN 2018

The Creative Retreat is now offering opportunities for artists to experience our corner of Scotland in an affordable and convenient way - through self-funded residencies.

Accommodation

You will have a private room in Stroma, our large shared house with four bedrooms, two shower/wcs, a large living/dining/kitchen space with washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer. Towels and bed linen are included, as is Wifi.

Studio Space

You will have 24 hour access to the High Street Studio, our main space with spectacular views of the sea, which will easily accommodate four artists. It is centrally heated, has a sink, fridge and wc. There is also a studio space at Stroma if you would prefer to work there.

You will need to..

  • Provide your own food
  • Provide your materials
  • Organise your own travel
  • Create a short report on your stay with images we can post on our website.

Support

We will greet you and provide information about the area. A guidance and support session for your work can be agreed and timetabled. Assistance in organising food and materials can be available as well as information on the area and travel.

Dates

Minimum booking is one week and all weeks run Saturday to Saturday. The following dates are available:

April 14th to 20th and April 21st to 28th

May 5th to 12th and May 13th - 19th

 

FEE PER WEEK/PER PERSON £200
