Evening Meetings: Winter 2023-2024

Indoor Meetings
Illustrated talks are held monthly from September to April on the second Thursday of the month at 7.00 pm in the Cowal Camera Club, Castle Cottages, Castle Street, Dunoon PA23 7HR.

21st September 2023. David Webster. Glasgow's Fossil Grove- A world Class Site

16th November 2023. David Hill. Butterfly and moth monitoring and conservation

18th January 2024. David Jardine. Learning about Bees in Argyll

All year round - Bird Hides at Kilmun & Sandbank (see LOCAL VIEWING SPOTS)


Kilmun Hide: parking at Kilmun Church, the hide is in former boathouse as you walk west towards the Cothouse, just at start of the crash barrier. Key access only (available from Gordon Holm). Best times are 2 hours in mid tide.

Sandbank Hide: parking at Broxwood Picnic Site. Path to the hide is through the gateway to the left of the recycling bins. Open access. Best times are + or - 2 hours of high tide.
