Gliding

Deeside Gliding Club is located near Aboyne and is renowned for being the foremost Wave soaring site in the British Isles. The UK altitude record of 38,600 feet was set in a glider flown from the club.

The club regularly welcomes pilots from throughout the UK and offers trial lessons for novices and anyone who has never tried flying before but has always wanted to give it a go.
