Fire Sculptures
SKYEFYRE was formed in 2000 by Simon Owen, Chris Tyler and Mick Andrew, and is a fireshow spectacular outfit specialising in fire sculptures, display pyrotechnics and staged events. The company is based in Scotland but can work in the UK or internationally
Chris is a cartoonist, artist and naturalist working in Skye; Mick is a stage lighting technician and rigger for festivals, concerts and theatre, and Simon specialises in pyrotechnics, welding and production management.
Associates of the company add to these skills in areas such as fire juggling, performing, rigging and general creative input so that SKYEFYRE can stage events ranging from small intimate displays to large-scale multimedia extravaganzas, often as part of a larger package, working with major production outfits.
Ideas, requirements, prices and safety issues can all be discussed for various events. We are fully insured for public liability and can take care of the production side of commissions, risk assessments, health and safety issues and local authority stipulations. A full crewing and clear-up team for each event will be provided. References can be supplied on application.
Recent gigs include Glastonbury festival, Edinburgh Hogmanay torchlit procession, Glasgow Merchant City hogmanay, Inverness ‘Highland 2008’ fireshow, and Leith Waterfront event.
